WHAT: Chicago musician Magic 1 has produced his ode to injured Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler. A parody of the song “Baby Come Back,” “Cutty Come Back” laments that “Love’s telling the entire defense we can’t give up more than 3,” and asks the lame-thumbed QB “Do you think you can throw left-handed?”
STATS: Posted on YouTube December 3rd, the video now has nearly 40,000 views. It’s been featured on television broadcasts and radio stations across the Midwest.
WHY WE LOVE IT: Parodies work best when there is genuine musical talent behind them, and Magic 1 can sing. The lyrics are clever while avoid TOO much immaturity.
