The Challenge
The mother of invention may be inspiration, but
the mother of selling that invention is determination
combined with dedication. The folks at StickySwat
came to SolidLine in need of a high impact, direct
marketing television commercial, in order to introduce
their revolutionary pest control device to the masses.
As with any new product, there was a lot to tell
about the StickySwat, so it was crucial all important
information fit comfortably in both a 60-second
as well as a 2-minute spot. More importantly, those
precious seconds also needed to be creative, engaging
and compelling…all while being informative.
Luckily for StickySwat, that’s where SolidLine
truly shines. |

The Solution
SolidLine producers sat down with the creators of
StickySwat to go over how it worked and how it was
different. From there, the SolidLine creative team
developed a concept and script to emphasize those
innovations. The SolidLine art department set to
work creating the StickySwat and accessories as
3d computer models for demonstrative purposes. Out
in the field, SolidLine’s production crew
set up filming in multiple different home locations
to capture the StickySwat in its environment. The
resulting production concept combines with the dynamic
cinematography and fluid camera moves came together
with the motion graphics, 3d animation to make one
dynamite commercial…that sold!
The Outcome
Response to the StickySwat DRTV spot has been phenomenal,
running across the nation on cable television, as
well streaming on the StickySwat website. Since
its initial airing, StickySWAT.com and their call
center has been flooded with calls and requests
from folks looking to buy. Mike George, Co-inventor
