The Challenge

Heitman, a broad based, multi-national real estate investment management firm, came to SolidLine Media with a bold proposal. They needed a promotional video…quick. But the challenge did not stop there. This video would be used to sell REITs, a real estate product, to their potential investors in Japan. SolidLine needed to become familiar not only with Heitman’s business outlook, but the social constructs as well. “The entire project cam under serious time constraints,” states Marketing Communications Manager Mary Fifield. “We really appreciate SolidLine taking on our video with such short notice.”




The Solution

Utilizing their I-Research team, SolidLine Media was able to research the REITs product as well as the policies and cultural norms that are common in different areas of the Heitman Japanese market. A creative solution was developed that incorporated graphics and animations of statistics as well as video footage of the Heitman team with Japanese narration.

The Outcome

Heitman’s Japanese associates and clientele could not be more excited about the video. Its debut was a success and helped to attract several additional investors to the REITs line of Heitman real estate products. “The entire process, from creating a vision to post-production was a real pleasure…it was very fulfilling to see the end-product,” Fifield continues. “The video allows our Japanease investors to understand our business, and can save us money and time spent traveling to Japan.”
