STATS: Malkoff’s latest has a respectable 20,000 views on YouTube after being posted a few days ago. He’s built a viral following at his site, which was named one of the best of 2011 by Time Magazine.

WHY WE LOVE IT: Ummm, how can you see the villain from “The Karate Kid” playing Hungry Hungry Hippos and not love it?

Nike’s latest commercial is pumping its new Fuelband that tracks your physical activity throughout the day. What better way to demonstrate than by compiling dozens of classic moments from movies, TV shows and viral videos – all cut to Fatboy Slim’s “I See You Baby?”

We’re talking everything from YouTube’s “The Evolution of Dance” to “Amadeus.” From “The 40 Year-Old Virgin” to OK Go’s “Here It Goes Again” video. The real question is whether a rapid-fire trip through a pop culture geek’s brain will get people to spend $149 on fitness wristband.

The spot aired during yesterday’s NFC Championship Game. Since it was posted on YouTube about four days ago, it’s racked up 1.5 million views. You have to admire the team who compiled all of these clips. Had to be a ridiculously tedious process, but hard work pays off. Check it out….

It featured a kid in a Darth Vader costume marching through the house, before using “the force” to start his father’s VW.
STATS: In just two days, the spot has been viewed more than 250,000 times. As one commenter on YouTube said, “I may have to buy a Volkswagen now.”

WHY WE LOVE IT: The teaser pays homage to the original ad that connected with so many people, but creates something equally original and just as clever. Plus, even the biggest Ewok hater will love the dog at the bottom right. And the Chewbacca howler at :36? GEEK OVERLOAD!

The result is a shot-for-shot remake of the first six minutes of “Raiders of the Lost Ark.”

It really is an amazing achievement. The detail put into the sets, along with the perfectly matched lighting, make you almost forget you’re watching a plastic figure after a few minutes.

Who knows? Maybe we’ll make a stop-motion, action-figure-animated corporate video some day. I shouldn’t have said that out loud, the art department is going to kill me.

We had a cute dog on stage, a cute couple singing their presentation dialogue, a cute leading man commenting on another cute leading man’s……um……golf club? And there was one very controversial directing decision that caught a lot of flack on Twitter.

So if you missed the Globes last night, just watch these videos so you don’t feel left behind talking to your co-workers.

Ricky Gervais’s Opening Monologue

Most seemed to think Gervais was weak, while others thought he got it just right the first time around. Watch and decide for yourself….

George Clooney Wins Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama

As usual, Clooney pretending to act like he doesn’t know he the most charming man in the room. While other winners have praised fellow nominees in the past, I don’t think I’ve every heard a man hit an award stage to compliment another man on his…….golf game.

Uggie the Dog….oh, and “The Artist” wins Best Picture – Comedy

Nothing like trying to make an inspirational award speech while a cute dog is doing tricks on stage next to you. But this turns out to be one of the sweetest moments of the night, and the vibe on stage totally matched the endearing qualities of the movie.

Ricky Gervais introduces the “racist” Colin Firth

Gervais introduced fellow Brit Colin Firth, showering him with praise before telling the crowd how “racist” he is. What could have been a simple joke caught a lot of flack from viewers online, as the director of the show chose to cut to a shot of “The Help’s” table during the bit. Not funny.

WHAT: Sean Ohlenkamp is the art director at Toronto-based ad agency Lowe Roche. After putting together this small stop-motion video in his home last July, he decided to take things to the next level. He partnered with Toronto’s Type Bookstore, and created a tribute video to the printed page. Who says books don’t have any fun?

STATS: Since being posted on January 9th, the video has attracted more than 1 million views. It’s been shared more than 100,000 times on Facebook and Tweeted more than 30,000 times.

WHY WE LOVE IT: Can you imagine the time it took to keep rearranging all of these books? Ohlenkamp rightfully lists the names of the 25 volunteers who helped out. We also love how the video singles out one particular store, but serves a bigger purpose of promoting the printed word. Goes to show that hard, painstaking work can lead to something incredibly special.

WHAT: 13 year-old Sarah of Australia has an interesting talent. She can do all sorts of fun things with her eyebrows to music. She posted a roughly 30 second video to YouTube showing off her skill.

STATS: The video has been viewed more than 15 million times since it was posted on December 29th, 2011.

WHY WE LOVE IT: To think, before the internet, this talent would have gone unnoticed! We love when simple videos like these can reach, and even create, large audiences. Sarah made another video to prove to doubters that her talent is real, and not just some CG creation. Then, she encouraged viewers to head to her Facebook page and offer more requests. She’s racked up more than 65,000 fans, and even landed an appearance on the Today Show. Only a matter of time before some endorsement dollars start rolling in….
